Latest Updates from Our Project:

Native War Party Unlocked!
almost 4 years ago – Thu, Jun 04, 2020 at 11:17:30 AM

Congratulations, everyone! You have now unlocked the Native War Party pack which is now included as an Add-On for $13!

We've had some backers asking about being able to add the various free minis to their pledges, either because their pledges are less than the threshold, or because they would like additional packs, so we've added these minis to the Add-Ons list too. Please Note: you will still receive these minis for free if you pledge total exceeds the various thresholds.

To add any of these packs to your pledge, just follow the directions on the graphic below:

And, with just under a week to go in the campaign, we remind you of our next stretch goals.

That's right, we're not that far away from being able to add both the French AND the British Infantry Command packs to the mix.

Hopefully we'll have a few more photos from the sculpting desk of Mr Hicks before the end of the week, and we definitely have a long list of models we'd love to bring to the range!

Thanks for all of your support!

Have you seen...?

Welcome to our new backers! Thanks for joining us on this campaign. Things are moving along quite well and we are more than halfway to the next stretch goal - the Native War Party! Hopefully we can pass this goal over the weekend and get stuck in to the next one - the French Infantry Command.

Although it's not set in the same timeframe as the French & Indian Wars (it's set in late 17th-Century New France), the limited series Barkskins is definitely worth a look. Two episodes have been released so far here in the States on the National Geographic channel and both are available on NatGeo on Demand and on Hulu. I'm not going to say you will want to check out the King Philip's War add-ons, but...

And finally, we know you're keen to go into the weekend on a high note, so here's a photo of the next stretch goal after French - the British Infantry Command!

Take care and stay safe!

Another Stretch Goal Achieved! (well, two, actually)
almost 4 years ago – Wed, May 27, 2020 at 03:20:12 PM

Congratulations, everyone!

Since we last spoke, you have been able to climb past two more stretch goals. We now have the French Infantry II pack AND the Frontier Characters I pack available as Add-Ons, plus we are able to give away the British Officer and Civilian Sisters miniatures to everyone who has pledged for over $120!

What's next?

Thanks to Paul Hicks sculpting hard over the weekend, we can now show off the next stretch goal - the first of the command packs on our list, the French Infantry Command. Once we reach $31,000 we'll unlock this pack as an Add-On. To get there, we'll need to go through the Native War Party pack, which is spectacular for use in loads of great scenarios!

What if...?

We have had a number of backers ask if the free miniatures we are giving away for various pledge amounts (the Huron Sachem, British Officers, and Civilian Sisters) will also be available for purchase. They are available, so if your pledge total will not exceed $80/$120 (or it will and you just want a second set) you can buy these models by adding the listed prices to your pledge total.

We're about halfway through the campaign at the moment, and we certainly still have a lot of packs on our wishlist, so let's keep the ball rolling!

Thanks for all your support, take care, and stay safe!

Introducing "The Ambush!"
almost 4 years ago – Mon, May 25, 2020 at 11:08:11 AM

As happens with almost every Kickstarter, things have slowed down a little, so we've decided to shake things up a bit. We've taken a look at our stretch goals and decided to add a whole bunch of new pledge levels to make things more convenient for everyone.

We're very close to reaching our $23,000 stretch goal (just 2-3 backers away), so we've adjusted what will actually happen once we reach our $26,000 stretch goal. At that point, we'll unlock the Frontier Characters I pack as an Add-On for $13 AND we'll give everyone who as pledged for $120 or more a FREE British Officer pack & FREE Civilian Sisters pack. After that, we've revealed the Native War Party pack that we teased last update. This pack contains 3 Natives and 3 Prisoners and will be perfect for lots of rescue scenarios on the woodland trails of North America.

 The Ambush!
To help us get to these stretch goals (and more), we've decided to include some of these packs in a new set of pledge levels - The Ambush! These are designed to make it incredibly convenient for everyone who is interested in getting everything that has been unlocked so far (and a couple of things we are very close to unlocking). Each of these new pledge levels includes one each of the first ELEVEN packs of this campaign, and three of the four pledge levels include a version of the This Very Ground: Victory or Death ruleset (PDF, softback, or hardback).

As each of these pledge levels is already over $120, each backer selecting one of them will automatically receive the FREE Huron Sachem, British Officer, and Civilian Sisters! You can, of course, still add more packs to your pledge.

Changing Pledge Levels

To change your pledge level, you simply need to click on the "Manage your pledge" button at the top of the Kickstarter page, then click on the "Change your pledge" button, select the new pledge level, and confirm the change.

Sharing is Caring

While we already have a lot of supporters for this campaign, we know that there are hundreds (thousands) of wargamers out there who love the French & Indian War period, and would love to see these Paul Hicks sculpts on their own gaming table. Please continue to share the campaign with your friends and gaming groups:

French Infantry unlocked, and new miniatures revealed!
almost 4 years ago – Mon, May 25, 2020 at 06:20:28 AM

Thank you all! We have now unlocked our fourth stretch goal - the French Infantry I pack - which is now available as an Add-On for $13 (instead of the $15 it will retail for).

The George Washington Free Miniature

We have passed the first 24 hour mark and we had a whopping 256 backers supporting us at that point. Every one of those 256 backers will receive the GW mini with the rest of their pledges. Thank you for your support!

Marching Onwards

We continue the steady march towards our next batch of stretch goals. At $20,000 we'll unlock the new edition of This Very Ground (in a variety of formats) and then at $23,000 we'll unlock the second pack of French Infantry! But after that, we have another big "THANK YOU!" planned. When we hit $26,000 we will unlock the British Officer and the Civilian Sisters and give them away free to everyone who pledges $120 or more! (as a quick tally, the On The Frontier pledge level, plus one each of the British and French Infantry packs would get you past $120). You can et a look at the Officer and Sisters at the bottom of this image. The Sisters could, of course, be used in wargaming periods outside of the French & Indian Wars  – like the AWI or the War of 1812 – so there's plenty of value there for everyone!

Selecting Which Packs You Want

Following the last update we had some great questions concerning how you are able to select/notify us of the specific packs you want. Basically, during the Kickstarter campaign portion you are not able to pick specific packs, only increase your total pledge amount to match their value. A few weeks after the Kickstarter campaign closes, we will open up the pledge manager and it is in that portion that you'll be able to select your specific pack choices. Hopefully that helps clarify things a little, but if you have any questions at all, please keep them coming.
