Shipping has Started!
over 3 years ago – Thu, Sep 24, 2020 at 02:43:44 AM

Hi All,

I hope you had a great summer.

The big news is We Have Started Shipping.

Over the past few weeks, we have been getting all of the codes sorted, stapled and labeled. (At this point, Mrs. Weiss has some choice words for me!) We are still expecting another shipment or two of stock for the kickstarter, but starting the shipping only makes sense as we now have stock of all the codes. The This Very Ground: Victory or Death rulebooks have arrived and look quite nice. I have attached pictures below. I will get the PDF out to everyone who qualifies or bought it, this weekend.

TVG 2nd Edition - British Limited Edition Hardback
TVG 2nd Edition - French Limited Edition Hardback (cover is white)
TVG 2nd Edition - Hardback
TVG 2nd Edition - Softcover

We will be packing orders and shipping until we have the kickstarter complete.

There are several of you that still have some credit card issues with your Backerkit. Please check your backerkit account.

If you have not finished your Backerkit Survey, please do.

I will also tell you that we are starting on the development of a second French and Indian War Kickstarter.

Many thanks and stay safe!

This Very Ground BackerKit Surveys Have Been Sent!
over 3 years ago – Sun, Aug 02, 2020 at 09:06:13 PM

Hi all,

All surveys have been sent. Check your spam box if you have not received it. Make sure to allow emails from Backerkit if you have a tightly controlled email box. After checking these, let me know if you still are not seeing the emailed link.

Update on the Native Leaders pack - Paul has not finished them.

I have just added the FIW008  Native Leaders pack to the add-ons. As it is not sculpted yet there is a  placeholder picture.

>>> If you have already submitted your survey, you can go back in and add the FIW008  Native Leaders pack.

I will not be charging cards for a while and will be giving enough notice to add the Native Leaders pack when I know it will be available. Obviously, the earlier you do it the better.

Upgrading Pledge Levels - You can upgrade your pledge to a higher level in the survey with  the "change pledge level" link in the survey. You would pay the  difference between the new level and your original amount you pledged in  Kickstarter.

Mix and Match Backers - "I spent enough to qualify for the free Sachem, or the free Sachem, the Civilian SIsters and the Major."

If you qualify, you will get them. There was no ability  to do this automatically with Mix and Match backers to have them  automatically added.   The pledge levels that automatically qualified due to the spend amount  have them already added.  Note - If you add them as add-ons, you are purchasing them (and if you  qualified for free items, you would be getting an additional one of each  item you add.)

I pledged in the first 24 hours, I do not see my free George Washington.

If you qualify, you will get them. There was no ability  to segregate the first 24hr backers to have them automatically added.  Note: If you add them as add-ons you are purchasing them (and if you  qualified for free items, you would be getting an additional one of each  item you add.)

International Postage - International postage is very difficult to judge or configure. USPS First class goes only to 4 pounds weight including the parcel. After that it is Priority Mail.

There is no way for me to discern if a pledge has a book or not. For the UK, Australia/NZ and EU, the books will be printed in those locations and drop shipped. Of course there is a shipping cost for that, but clearly lower than shipping it in a parcel from the USA. Note that shipments to Canada will be from the USA.

If your international order will ship for less, I will be adjusting your pledge shipping amount before charging your order. Each international order will be done individually to get the best rate possible.

If you have friends that missed out, the Kickstarter page shows a pre-order button which opens the preorder store.

I hope this helps to update you on some of the questions you might have.

Things are on Schedule, BackerKit Surveys This Week
almost 4 years ago – Sat, Jul 25, 2020 at 10:37:17 AM

Hi All,

I posted this in comments, but I assume some of you are not reading those comments emails from the kickstarter.

Things are all on schedule.

The master castings of the second set of  greens have arrived for approval. I will be reviewing them this weekend. Once I give approval, production molds will get  underway and then casting. Everything is on track for September.

BackerKit  surveys. I had to learn the system and get my Cthulhu and Pulp  Characters survey out first. It was the test run for me using BackerKit.  While I decided to use BackerKit for this Kickstarter survey, I decided  as I started to work with it to use it for the Cthulhu KS as well and  use it to learn the ins and outs of the software and process. As I said  previously, it was new software for me to learn and configure properly  as I always hand coded my own surveys. I am working on completing this  TVG survey and I am trying to get it in for approval by Sunday night for approval Monday or Tuesday. Once approved, I can send it out. So assume you should get it by mid next week if all goes as planned.

You will notice a new Kickstarter for DrugWarZ. Of course, I am involved, but the active planning and day to day is Dave Taylor who also ran this one for TVG. Please support us if you can and any of the miniatures float your boat.  DrugWarZ Kickstarter

I have include below, two pics of the Frontier Family and the Highlander Command.

Stay safe,

Lon

We've almost reached the pledge manager stage!
almost 4 years ago – Wed, Jun 24, 2020 at 06:14:51 PM

Hi everyone!

We just wanted to let you know that the pledge manager (BackerKit) is currently in its final stages of tweaking and polishing and review, to make sure we have everything in there that we want. Although we said that it would be ready in early July, we think it should actually be ready earlier than that. Keep an eye out over the next week for the email from BackerKit inviting you to complete your survey.

Also, we've received a couple of photos from Paul Hicks, of packs he has been working on in recent weeks. Above you can see the Rangers Command, and below is the Canadian Militia Command.

Take care and stay safe!

You Did It, Thank you!
almost 4 years ago – Sun, Jun 07, 2020 at 11:30:49 PM

We've said it before, but it bears repeating... Thank you!

We're very excited to have such a huge chunk of packs for our French & Indian War range no able to be put into master molds, and then into production molds, and then into boxes to send off to you all!

I've spoken with Lon and he has confirmed that because we got sooooo close, the Native Leaders WILL be unlocked and included in the pledge manager, another way to say thank you. He's also hoping to get the Native Civilians I & II packs shoehorned into the pledge manager too.

Now that the campaign has closed, Kickstarter will start charging your cards. In a few weeks we'll be able to have the pledge manager up and running. When that happens, everyone will receive an email from the pledge manager, inviting you to fill out the survey and pick out the various packs you are after. You'll also be able to add on more packs AND pay for shipping.

Keep an eye out for updates here and also on our Facebook page and in our newsletter.

Thank you all once again!
